Growing up, I was always active. Sports were my outlet, a way to escape and feel genuinely happy. I played volleyball and ran track in high school, and I loved the sense of team and connection. Some of those friendships are still strong today. After high school, I studied human biology in college. Adjusting to college life was tough. Between a demanding major, binge drinking on weekends, and fast food runs, I stopped being active and gained the freshman 15. My metabolism slowed, and I struggled with my weight for years. I didn’t feel like myself, and my confidence took a major hit. Worst of all, I had no idea how to fix it.
One day, walking past a strip mall, a young woman handed me a flyer for a free bootcamp class. I almost didn’t go—but I did. That one class changed everything. I found a group of people who understood my struggles and coaches who knew how to help. In just 3 months, I lost 15 pounds—and more importantly, I found my passion again.
From there, I started working with a trainer to build muscle. I learned how crucial a structured plan is—and how having someone in your corner can change everything. That experience lit a fire in me to help others. Because so many people don’t realize how powerful it is to have a plan and real support. That’s what truly makes the difference!
